Decent stay
I stayed overnight. The hotel was ready to find and conveniently close to the interstate. I didn't have any noise issue. The room doesn't have a microwave. Just a mini fridge, iron board and iron, hair dryer. Free parking and free Wi-Fi. The bathroom was nice. Complimentary Toiletries- Dove medium sized products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and lotion). The room had a wall thermostat. Quiet night for me. The bed wasn't that comfortable to me - felt a little lumpy but otherwise ok. I would recommend
Cleanliness: the hotel looked very clean upon entry. The floor of my room could've been cleaned a little bit better but everything else was clean.
Friendly staff: the guy that checked me in was patient and nice. The free staff members I ran into were nice and friendly too.
Location: close to the interstate. Cracker barrel is within walking distance from the hotel.
Breakfast: this was a disappointment. I was expecting the pancake dispenser, waffle maker, scrambled eggs and protein. That was not the case. It was more of a complimentary grab-and-go breakfast. They had some fresh fruit, yogurt, granola bars, cereal cups, oatmeal cups, coffee, egg muffins wrapped individually and egg white omelets wrapped individually and the juice station. I didn't like the taste of the egg muffins. Thankfully Cracker Barrel is within walking distance of you desire a real breakfast.

Avid Ringgold
I would have rated it a 5, but the room we received smeeled like smoke when we walked in.
We went back to the person that checked us in to inform of the smell. He changed our room and the rest of the stay was fine.
We were just passing rhrough on our way farther south. This hotel fit our needs. It is a no frills place.

Just the basics
We had never stayed at an Avid hotel before so didn’t realize it was streamlined for business people. It is a bare bones room. No coffee maker. Ice buckets are only by the ice machine. Breakfast is ‘Grab and Go’. So, this isn’t a hotel we will visit again. Also, due I’m sure to the hardwood floors, there were noises going on all night which was kind of annoying.
That being said, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. If you don’t need a lot of frills, this is an ok hotel.

Middle of the road
It's not too bad. The hotel is all about the basics - no microwave or coffee maker in the rooms; those are all down in the 24/7 communal services area. It was clean. Road noise is bad, but it's on the interstate, so that's expected. Hotel itself wasn't too loud, but I wear good earplugs any time I stay in a hotel. Staff was nice and helpful. Bed was not great, but pillows were excellent.

Very Nice Stay!
We stayed at Holiday Inn’s Avid Hotel in March 2024. We first checked into the Holliday Inn down the road to find we did not have a reservation there. I showed them my reservation and she said that’s down the road. It’s Holiday Inns’ economy hotel.
We arrived and was greeted very happily. I asked, “What is the Avid chain?” He explained that this chain focuses on a good nights sleep. Comfortable beds, room darkening shades, great coffee in the morning. They keep the prices lower by not having microwaves in the rooms, the ice bucket is near the ice machines, the rooms are a tad smaller. Those were small changes that we adjusted to quite easily.
What we liked best:
The beds, firm but pillowy, large TV, and no carpet in room. We traveled with our small dog and in hotels with carpets he sniffs for quite sometime. But in this hotel he’s sniffed around and was done quickly. You know the floor is clean! Unlike who knows what is left with carpets.
Breakfast was minimal, but nice selection of things to take as you travel. They even had almond milk for cereal or coffee, big plus fro me! The coffee was the best. It is grounded and brewed for each cup. It was the smoothest coffee I’d ever had in a mid-priced hotel! There were other small details to numerous to mention here.
What was less then best:
The rooms are shorter, not a whole lot of space between the ends of the bed and the wall. It’s not the type of room you’d want to hangout in for days. But for just sleeping and moving on, it’s not bad. The walk in shower was very nice but it’s smaller than standard showers and if your a very wide person you may have a tight squeeze getting in through the opening with the glass shower doors.
All that said, I’d still rate it a 5 star and we’d definitely stay with that chain again.
