Good hotel, but needs renovations.
This hotel isn't that bad, considering how old it looks. However, it does need some renovations.
Our room was comfortable and clean. The only issue we had was that my husband found his backpack was all wet. He had set it on the floor against the bathroom wall, and when we checked, we saw that the carpet was soaking wet. Looks like there's a water leak in the bathroom that's causing the problem. They definitely need to fix that soon!
The staff member who assisted us with our check-in was exceptionally kind.
This hotel is a bit pricey, considering its distance from the city, and there is no complimentary breakfast. We stayed only because of a hockey tournament. Otherwise, I’d’ve chosen a more convenient location.

Check in was horrible especially considering the fact that I prepaid for all rooms. The staff was very rude at check in. They didn’t know how to pull up reservations.

We repaid for a group of ppl to stay here for a conference and the checkin process was horrible. The staff was rude to a lot of our members during checkin because they had a new system. During a couple of check ins they even tried to double charge our group at a point of time because the hotel doesn't get paid from hotels.com until end of month. When ALL rooms were paid in full in advance. They didn’t know how to look up reservations when it was multiple rooms on one reservation. The whole process was very unpleasant. When we use your hotel whenever our members travel in town to come to our headquarters church located in Riverdale, IL. We feel like they discriminated against a large group of our members during this process which is very unprofessional. We will no longer do business with the double tree. If you visit our website we have the double tree listed as our host hotel for when ppl travel in town to visit. We will remove them going forward due to the way our members were treated.

My husband and I choose the DoubleTree in Alsip often for our romantic trips to the Chicago area. It is a very nice and affordable hotel with an on-site restaurant (food is delicious, specifically the brunch!), modern lobbies with beautiful decor pieces, and the rooms are spacious and clean! The customer service is always great! The rooms could go for an update though. The wallpaper is peeling and yellowed in many areas and some of the beds are worn down and need to be replaced. But other than that, we will continue to book next time we’re in town!

Very clean, large room. Went for only one night, could have stayed longer. Friendly staff at check in. Got a good night sleep. So far one of our best hotel experiences in the US.
