Good Onsen in the mountainous part of North Osaka, excellent food and nice bath, complete with winter sakura blossoming at the outdoor pool. Only 10min walk from a wonderful temple with rare Buddhist art and autumn foliage. Transportation with a hotel shuttle from the Ikeda town, which has interesting Rakugo Museum with English videos and old castle ruins, close to Minoh Expo park.

- Staff were very polite and efficient
- The non smoking suite that we booked was a huge room, with 2 queen size beds, a dining room, a toilet and outdoor bath area
- Special highlight for the room: pets are allowed to stay in the room ! There’re many pets amenities provided inside the suite, such as pets food tray, water container, small animal cage…

The staff was very friendly and the view from our room was amazing. We didn't end up getting to use a lot of the hotel's amenities, including the open-air bath in our room, but we loved the quiet location of the hotel.

A traditional onsen japanese hotel but a bit worn out everywhere

service: The staff are friendly and super helpful. The staff checking us in was able to communicate in English adequately, and both the cafe and noodle shop attached have menus in English, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese.
Most services in the hotel have all four languages written some where so it's pretty convenient.
The amenities provided were fantastic, they even provided face masks free of charge, to really maximize the relaxation.
facilities: We booked the room with a personal hot tub/sauna and it was definitely worth it! You can take a soak in the privacy of your room at any time of the day, so relaxing!
The public onsen was also very nice, with clear instructions on proper procedure and very helpful staff, don't hesitate to ask them any questions. Definitely give it a try, but remember to be respectful of your fellow bathers.
I would recommend that you check in as soon as the hotel allows, so you enjoy the public onsen as soon as possible haha
food: We booked the buffet breakfast, it was interesting. Sme traditional Japanese cuisine and some traditional western fare; all delicious.
If you don't want restaurants food from the first floor, and have some time to spare, feel free to ask the staff about any nearby convenience stores.

The free shuttle is available from Ikeda Train Station at 14:40 and 15:40. The public hot-spring bath is available between 15:00 to 00:00 and from 06:00 to 10:00. Guests without a meal plan who want to eat dinner at the hotel must make a reservation at least 1 day in advance by 18:00. Guests with a tattoo may not be permitted to enter public bathing areas and other public facilities. Please note that the property will do its best to accommodate your requests, but smoking preferences cannot be guaranteed. The property will neutralise smoking smells, using a deodoriser spray.
An accommodation tax is required in Osaka from January, 2017. Guests are required to pay JPY 100 per guest per night if the room rate per night is between JPY 7,000 and JPY 14,999, JPY 200 per guest per night if the room rate per night is between JPY 15,000 and JPY 19,999, and JPY 300 per guest per night if the room rate per night is JPY 20,000 or greater. This surcharge is not included in the total rate for some rooms and shall be paid at the hotel. For details, please confirm with the hotel.
