A feel-good place between jungle and Caribbean
After our hike to Ciudad Perdida we were looking for a special hotel with a high standard for relaxing and spent 8 nights in Finca Cuipo.
Communication with Fiona and Helmut was friendly, straightforward and competent from the first contact - we always felt very welcome.
Upon arrival we were still overwhelmed by the wonderful location of the finca, by the symbiosis of nature and thoughtful planning of the complex, by the view, but especially by the authentic warmth of our hosts. We were guests of a wonderful family who live a special life on the mountain with their little magical daughter and have dedicated their hearts fully to their project Finca Cuipo. Every little wish was fulfilled so that we could feel comfortable.
For food: Helmut cooked for us every day very delicious and varied, at the request of a single gentleman even the menu was expanded by 2 desserts.
Our favourite spot was of course by the magnificent pool with unobstructed views of the Caribbean, a magical place to start the new holiday day with morning yoga. In the early evening, we were able to observe even macaws, toucans and iguanas with some patience.
The equipment and cleanliness of our bungalow were very good, Fiona and Helmut also made sure to keep the ecological footprint as low as possible (use of solar / wind energy, self-production of food)
A good starting point for activities. Palomino, Tayrona National Park, Tubing and much more. Just ask Fiona and Helmut.
What a pity that our holiday at Finca Cuipo is over, the wonderful place and the warmth of our host family will hopefully remain in our memory for a long time to come. Thank you so much! Keep it up.

Vielen Dank für deine wundervollen Worte! Es war für uns wirklich etwas ganz Besonderes euch für 8 Nächte bei uns zu haben! Es freut uns sehr zu lesen, dass ihr eure Zeit auf Finca Cuipo so sehr genossen habt, ich hoffe die Erinnerungen an euren Urlaub schenken euch lange Zeit warme Gedanken in Deutschland :) Wir würden uns sehr freuen, euch bei eurer nächsten Kolumbienreise wieder bei uns auf der Finca willkommen zu heißen. A Resourceful Hidden Finca in the Heart of Nature
We had the most resourcing stay at Finca Cuipo. The place is beautiful, quiet and very private. Fiona and Helmut were very attentive, warm, friendly and helpful during our stay. The cabana was heavenly. Huge space, balcony with hammock and a table for two overlooking the Valley and the sea in the background. Breakfast was rich and delicious. At night Helmut cooked delicious healthy meals with local ingredients.
Finca Cuipo is an ideal location to explore Tayrona and the surroundings. I will return!

A piece of heaven on earth!
My trip to Colombia was even more wonderful thanks to my stay at the finca cuipo.
Fiona and helmut are very welcoming and friendly and also very good cooks!
Loved my stay in this accommodation in the middle of the jungle. Everything was perfect from the room , the view , the pool, the meals....
If I return to Colombia a stay in this finca will be unavoidable.
I was able to really rest, relax and the start time was hard!
This is a crush so I recommend 1000% ❤️

Our stay at Finca Cuipo was truly wonderful — if you have the opportunity, go!
The location and scenery is breathtaking, nestled within the jungly hills and overlooking the coast. Secluded and tranquil but still within easy distance of all the local attractions.
Fiona and Helmut are warm and attentive hosts, going far beyond the norm to ensure your stay is everything you want it to be. They helped us understand the local area, how to get around, and what to do while we were staying there.
The food served up at the Finca at breakfast and dinner was consistently delicious — we never went hungry.
The room was very well-maintained and a perfect haven for us within the spectacular hills.
Altogether an unforgettable stay ❤️

Amazing Finca in the middle of nature
I spent an incredible week in the middle of the jungle. Perfect to reconnect with nature and enjoy the magical view from the cabin. The swimming pool is ideal for cooling off after a day of exploring (hiking, visiting waterfalls, beaches and surrounding villages).
Helmut and Fiona's experience is unforgettable. They shared with us their history and good plans of the area. The meals are very good and varied. Special mention to local culinary specialties (ayrepas, huevos pericos, chocolate).
I hope to return soon!
