Located in East Aspen, a neighborhood in Aspen, The Gant is in the mountains. Housekeeping is available on request. The Gant offers 140 accommodations, which are accessible via exterior corridors and feature DVD players and safes. Rooms open to balconies or patios. She made mention of a noticeable drop in maintenance she is largely referring to the Ocean Pool, last year the entire country was subject to a surprised 4.5% VAT increase which came in effect July 1st, we obviously was not prepared for this. This forced us to select which projects to carry out and which ones not to. We opted to not drain and service the Ocean Pool this was an error one that will never happen again, each year we shut down for the first two weeks of September, we just came out of maintenance the Ocean pool was drained and serviced. It looks dazzling!
The Mice droppings she is referring to was actually ants, we do not have mice problem, the droppings were actually geico droppings.
The Towels in peak season presents a challenge when the guest fails to return their towels in a timely fashion. We have increased our volume.
We are updating all the villas, just last year all teh villas received new furniture and tiling of all the villas is well under way. We plan to continue to the upgrades and offer incredible vacations all the way to 2032.
Management prides itself on our property maintenance and upkeep of our boutique resort. A special assessment would go a very long way in making this happen, but as normal none of the members wants to hear that.

his post is in response to a staff member that was released of her services, it is a stab at Management for doing their job. It is evident in that She mentioned the pool not being heated, We don't heat the pools in the Summer, they are both heated and is controlled by a thermostat, the temperature is set at 84 degrees. All the pools have been resurfaced and are glistening clean.
The Minimart/Convenience store, was leased to a tenant that gave less than desirable service. He has since been released of his contract. The store is under new Management, they are doing a phenomenal job!
Our rooms are explicitly clean, We offer daily housekeeping, there are times that the guests would deadbolt the door which does not allow the housekeeping team in the villa. The head of housekeeping remembered this case. The deadbolt was on the front door and the guest was accessing the villa through the patio sliding doors, which is against company policy. Our housekeeping team is not allowed to access the villa through the sliding door. We did an audit trail on the door and the door showed no activity by the guests, which means they were sing the patio door, reason is its a shorter walk.
The running water is provided by the city and it could have been a broken main line supply, unfortunately it happens at times. She may have experienced low pressure, but that's a rare case.
Ants, we are in the tropics and during heavy rains they are active and move around and yes at times can access the villas, they are not the ones that sting, locally we call them sugar ants. Once we are aware, we immediately deal with them, We are mandated by the hotel licensing authority to have contracts with pest control companies.
The pool bar offers great service, I am surprised at her comment son lack of service, We have 44 villas with an average of 3 persons per villa I have not heard a complaint in a very long time. I am surprised by her comments.
We are a Timeshare/hotel but we cater 85% to our members, the front desk hours are Monday to Saturday 8:00AM to 8:00PM Sunday is the exception, our hours are 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Maintenance is on hand during those hours to assist our guest.
There are lots of towels it's just that the beach towels like most hotels have to be accounted for, and we absolutely care, My staff is very friendly and accommodating to all of our guest, its why our percentage of repeat guests are so high. We are actually getting better each year, please do not let this review be the deciding factor as to not vacation with us, I encourage you to read the other reviews, that paints quite a different picture of who we really are. I look forward to serving you as a guest in the near future.
