Excellent structure in tranquility but some defects there!

Excellent structure 15 minutes from Armação di Pêra, if you are looking for tranquility and ideal. Even the swimming pool surrounded by the garden allows excellent relaxation. Unfortunately we never saw the owners (at check in we were greeted by the cleaning lady). The last two days, perhaps with more guests, we had problems with lack of water while taking a shower.

We had an amazing stay in this lovely accommodation, the host Ricardo was very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Ricardo made sure we had everything we had requested. The apartment had everything we needed. There is adequate storage, great pool and lovely views of the country side. The village of Algoz was only 5 minutes away, Algoz had a nice supermarket, cafe and bakery. We will definitely stay there again, location was great as it was away from the busy parts of the Algarve.

We’ve really enjoyed our stay at Quinta da Mesquita. We’ve had our first holiday with our ten months old baby, and the place was just perfect for that. A nice big garden, a save environment, a lovely pool, and great care from the staff. Would recommend this to everybody.

A wonderful rural spot in South Portugal

Strengths
Beautiful state of fruit trees
Gorgeous swimming pool
Nice grass play area
Good children play area and a tree house
Good car park facilities, although no shadow
Great barbecue
Great breakfast in a great lounge
Daily cleaning services
Weaknesses (mainly related to apartment 9)
Bathroom: old and cracked shower door. We all trapped fingers in it. Ugly toilet brush (despite having daily cleaning service).
Beds: really poor sleep. Small and noisy sofa bed. Shadow pillows.
Diner table quite uncomfortable.
Awkward window blinding system, difficult to let fresh air in, while keeping darkness. Noisy air conditioning. Also someone could feel unsafe leaving front door or back window open at night as is in ground level.
Lack of dishwasher (while other flats have it). Noisy fridge.
Other flats look much better with less inconveniences. Number one for instance had a large wonderful sofa bed, nice shower with a good glass door, dishwasher and nice window abs door's curtains.
No wifi in the apartment.
Conclusion
Beautiful spot to spend a week or two but make sure do not get flat nine. Fairly said, that flat should be offered at a reduced price.

Location location location

The location of this quinta is its best feature. Very quiet, the apartments overlook the garden and orange trees. Small but very nice pool with sun loungers. Breakfast is nice but not spectacular, except for the freshly squeezed juice from own oranges, and the homemade jams. WiFi is spotty - the first two days in the common room only. We found the apartment pretty basic and in need of some loving touch-ups. There are no comfortable chairs, either inside or on the terrace. The kitchen (pantry) is very basic, not that you want to cook three course meals but a cutting board and some decent knives would be nice. The warning light for the two hot plates didn't work, but I guess you will find out soon enough whether they are on... Also the two taps in kitchen and bathroom must be turned on with care if you don't want to get soaked. Taking a shower was like riding a roller coaster - cold, scaldingly hot, lukewarm, cold, HOT! The housekeeper is very nice though and the garden is beautiful. In the evening the swallows come and swoop down on the pool to drink.
