Fun, Functional, and Funky

Like other Moxys, this one had a fun and funky vibe. It is Marriott's version of a hostel so as long as you aren't expecting lots of amenities you should be happy here. I had my best night's sleep all year. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains really did their job as I slept till 10am rather than my normal 6:30. The tram is right next to the hotel so you can save money by staying here and taking the tram into the city. It is also a short ride to the airport. I would recommend it for budget travelers to use as a base if you are doing day trips to places like Cannes, Grasse, Eze, Monaco, or Ventimiglia. There is also a supermarket right across the walkway. They also make pizza and while we didn't get it, many did and it looked good. If I return to Nice, I likely will stay at the Moxy.

Great option if the beach is not priority

We stayed there and it served as our base for a week in the area. If you have been to other Moxy hotels you know: no luxury, no safe box in the room but rooms larger than the ones downtown and hotel has a young vibe and is very affordable compared to others. Tram station is very very close to the hotel, personnel were very kind to us

Very Poor Experience

Worst experience ever! Overcharged by $ 500 and battled for a month to get a refund! Situated in a construction location, homeless sleeping near the entry, didn’t consider it to be a safe area. Rooms are so basic, no wardrobe. Buffet breakfast was underwhelming, food ran out and not replenished. Avoid this D Grade hotel at all costs!

Ok for one night stay, a few long hairs in the bed and in the towels (most likely from cleaning staff). The breakfast was a bit strange, we were the first ones at opening time and it seemed they forgot a casserole with beans etc from the previous day since these were basically empty. It gave an overall impression of not being 100% clean.

Great stay

The staff at the Moxy Nice are attentive, helpful, and kind. You must stay there. What I also like is that a tram station sits directly in front of the hotel, getting you to where you need to get to in the city.
