Oasis in Lusaka

An oasis on the outskirts of Lusaka. We stayed one night between our international and domestic flight. This is a short distance from the airport and the lodge organised our pick up and early drop off. The rooms are spotlessly clean and spacious with an enormous bed and mossie net. We were off season and the only guests but had a delicious dinner made for just us as the sunset.

Beautiful location but poor service

Great location, beautiful rooms but poor service. We were welcomed by a guard who didn’t even help us with carrying our bags to the rooms. We had no proper site orientation as to where is what. Chef Esnart was friendly and took our food orders properly. However, the beef was very salty such that none of us finished our meals.
The other young lady on duty scared us by telling us that there are German Shepard dogs around so we need to be locked in our rooms, closed the bar/restaurant and left us alone at the restaurant.
Again nobody bothered to help us carry our bags to the car park when we left. We were told nobody from management works over the weekend so it wasn’t a great experience
Overall the lodge is at a very beautiful location but the service needs to be improved.

Very upmakret backpacker

Very reliable airport transfers, perfect for early or late arrivals. We stayed here twice in the course of our visit to Zambia. Pretty quiet, not many other guests who pretty much kept themselves to themselves.
Pool looked great but it was a just a tad chilly for swiming in mid June.

Wholly recommend

Beautiful individuals lodges in a picturesque setting. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, bright, comfortable and roomy. Good solution if don’t want or need to head into the city centre. Easy access to airport.

Lovely safe retreat close to airport

We had one night and one day in this lovely place, a haven of peace in Lusaka. From the airport transfers, the friendly and welcoming staff, the lovely gardens, rooms and pool, and the delicious food, we enjoyed every moment of our short stay. They have a great long pool which is ideal for doing a few lengths. Excellent mosquito net around the bed.
