Absolutely wonderful experience in every way imaginable!
I am pretty picky, but our stay was absolutely fantastic in EVERY way! When we arrived, staff unloaded the car and delivered our stuff to our rooms. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The room was wonderful. We loved the balcony and rocking chairs. The breakfast that came with the room was really great! I did miss having eggs, but the food was excellent and a perfect way to start each day (thanks Julia!). They even had umbrellas in case of rain. The location was perfect -- short walk to the fort, restaurants, stores and shops. We had dinner at the Columbia and then at Meehan's, both were excellent with great and friendly service. We were able to checkout at noon, which gave us a little more time in the morning. Katie got my car from the nearby parking lot and all our bags and treasures were all loaded into the car for us. St. George Inn has my highest recommendation for everything! We can't wait to come back. We love St. Augustine!

Not for me
The best part of our stay at St George was the feeling of liberation we experienced when we left. Not to be unfair—I am absolutely impossible. When I stay at a hotel, I generally expect parking within a quarter mile. I hope that I will not encounter billowing clouds of cigar smoke, blaring honky tonk music or homeless persons.
I was initially impressed by the photos of this place. Close to the Castillo, cute shops, wine bar and restaurants. They called the day I was supposed to check in to confirm we would arrive at the ‘loading area.’ There was no loading area, or even a place to park temporarily to unload baggage—this place sits very close to a very busy road. It is sandwiched in between a lot of similar looking buildings.
Irony completely crushed my husband when we were informed that for only $17 per day we could park at a public parking facility about a half mile up the road.
No one helped with our bags. There are no carts.
I wasn’t going to write this review until I remembered those beautiful promotional pics. I believe they are the source of my frustration. The angles and views do not show how crowded and congested this area is. They make this place look appealing to old people who watch PBS. In reality, this place is likely only appealing to old people who used to be roadies for Metallica.
If you are a young person who likes a lot of chaos and noxious fumes maybe this is the place for you. Best of luck.

Awesome!!
I love this place, best place to stay in historic downtown st Augustine . We have stayed here 6 times, We enjoy every stay we've had here, They provide breakfast, bell hops, a wine bar, and great sheets, beautiful rooms..Thank you St George Inn for all the details you put into this beautiful place!! The balconies are the best!!! 10/10

We highly recommend the St. George Inn in historic St. Augustine.
Never been disappointed in our stays at St. George Inn. Our room is always prepared fresh and clean no matter where in the property we stay. And the staff...so friendly and helpful. They carry your bags to your room for you after offering you a beverage. Then prepare in the morning whatever you'd enjoy for breakfast off the varied menu.

Oldest city in the United States.
Nothing sets the tone in St. Augustine like the lodging at St. George inn, in the heart of the historic district. Beautiful, older dwelling with excellent furnishings, clean and 5 star service. Our frequent trips there always lead us back to the old inn. I would highly recommend this facility, you will not be disappointed.
