Food needs inprovement

Stayed at this hotel for business purpose….The rooms are spacious and good, with all the amenities….The staffs are very friendly….The only disadvantage is the restaurant within the hotel, is a big letdown….The menu is limited….And the complimentary breakfast is also a big let down…not a very good spread….same food everyday….and if you are staying more than 3 days, you feel bored of the menu….Lot of Indian tourist stay here….And there is no food catered to the Indian guest….Needs some improvement on the food….otherwise, overall a good hotel

Our one night stay was great. We will definitely return again as our child will be attending school at SJSU in the Fall. Our room had all the amenities. We didn't get to use the pool but will do so next time. The breakfast was great and had a variety. All the workers were great! Especially Raul at the front desk. Raul gave us a room w/ the view of the mountains, which was gorgeous. He was so kind and gave us extra water bottles because he could tell we had a long drive and were so tired when we checked in. Everyone we ran into was just so kind and courteous and didn't judge us or make us feel inferior. We only had 3 towels in our room and when we called to ask for more, they brought us extra towels. The only thing we felt the bathroom needed was a vent to air out when you shower. The pullout bed on the sofa could use a newer one w/ better springs. Otherwise we loved our room. Kitchen was great and had all the amenities. We will be visiting SJSU a lot in the next 4-5 years and this Residence Inn will be our go to place to stay.

Great stay, but felt unsafe with the homeless population

Nice hotel, good amenities, reasonable price, but not safe. Local homeless were around the property, in the lobby, and had breakfast next to us every morning. It’s one thing to support the homeless, but there needs to be some sanitary consciousness if you allow them to dine with guests. The smell alone was awful and strong enough to lose your appetite. Aside from that everything else was fine. The place is quiet, clean and overall was a nice stay.

Dangerous Hotel - Watch Your Safety!

Just had to cancel my 6-night stay because this hotel is dangerous and does not have security in its parking garage. My vehicle windows were broken out and someone tried to steal my car. I completed a police report and spoke to the front desk personnel and they took zero responsibility. Remember, they charge you per day for vehicle parking so that it can be broken into. This hotel is part of the "unsafe" portion of San Jose where the criminals dominate and never are held accountable. Watch out, don't stay at either of the hotels on this property because your safety will be at risk!
