Real tropical atmosphere

Very nice relatively small B&B right at the beach boulevard in Abraao. Very helpful staff and nice tropical garden.
The square crepes served in the restaurant in the evenings were also very tasteful!!

Disappointing experience with Pousada Tropicana

I made a request for a free cancellation through Booking, and they asked for my card details to supposedly process it, but they charged my card 78€. Not content with that, they told me they had canceled my reservation on the same day of the trip and that my room had been sold to someone else. I had to pay for another hotel. However, the reservation at the Tropicana hotel is still active on Booking’s website, and I had to block my card to prevent them from charging me the full amount of the reservation as they intended. Charging twice for the same room is a great business, isn’t it?

Simple pousada

Placed near to quay side is very convenient for boat crossing to mainland. it’s a modest house rustic and worn. Signs say it’s up for sale!! . We had a simple breakfast of mango juice , eggs breads , honey jams and coffee. All very acceptable . Good Wi-Fi and a safe secure box in the bedroom. Shaded area to lounge in and breakfast area turns into a crepe bar in the evenings. Crepes were more Nan bread like huge !!
We would stay again as it’s quiet and simple . Air con a bit noisy but that’s about it .

Suited us , perfectly.

Stayed here 3 nights and very pleased with everything . Staff very helpful, location close to peer , restaurants , beach. Room , basic , clean provided all that we needed in a very individual setting. Really enjoyed visiting the island , very scenic & relaxing.

A real Island Feel!

Great accommodations and very reasonable. A/C, Comfy queen size bed, wonderful friendly employees, super healthy breakfast included every morning! The place is "rustic" like the rest of the Island - don't expect The Plaza or The Four Seasons! They have great contacts for day trips by boat around the Island - had fun snorkeling at the Blue Lagoon one day and visited 5 beaches in 7 hours the next day! Night time sitting outside at tables on the beach in front of the Pousada. Cocktails and the best crepe bar serving sweet and savory crepes - just delicious! Great place for a Honeymoon!!!
