Great lodging
This is great lodging in Kernville. The owners are very accommodating. We spent one night in the double queen suite. This suite is more like a two bedroom apartment, separate rooms for beds, large kitchen/dining area and nice living area space. Good air conditioning, great shower, and very clean. Highly recommend.

Amazing accommodations, highly recommended for relaxing get away!
We stayed 2 nights, prices were excellent. Beautiful suites with 2 rooms each. Great accommodations for families and couples. Private beach across the street on the Kern River. Great place for fishing or sitting on the beach sunbathing. You can get a massage then go to the private bath house which has a huge tub to relax and unwind. The location is at the gateway to Sequioa National Forest. It was the most relaxing getaway I have been too in a long time. The hospitality was amazing. I will be going back during summer to enjoy all the water activities.

Jackpot with this Hidden Gem!!!
This was our first-time visiting Kernville. My family of 4 (8 and 15-year old kids) decided to take a road trip and our first stop was river rafting the Kern River with Kern River Outfitters. As I was researching a place to stay, I came across Sacred Mountain River Suites and we hit the jackpot! To visualize the property, I would describe it as a 2-unit stacked apartment complex. We stayed on the ground level (Earth Suite) and it was amazing! The unit was 840 sq. ft, complete with living area and big TV, a small kitchen and dining area, 1 bathroom and 2 bedrooms (Queen bed in one room and 2 twins in the other) each with their own TV. Did I mention there is a washer and dryer?
There is a patio table and several chairs to relax in on the patio outside the door. You are also a few short steps from the lounge chairs on the grassy area. We spent the evenings enjoying cocktails and relaxing on those chairs looking at the stars. There is also a bar-b-que for guests to use. Hidden behind the building is a lovely relaxing area for 21+. It is a peaceful, Zen area with an outdoor shower and 2 rooms with soaking tubs. There is a spa treatment room on the grassy area, but we did not have time to use it. At night, the outside area is lit up by strings of hanging lights. It is so magical.
There is a great beach down the road that gets VERY crowded. Arrangements can be made with Wendy to reserve a prime spot at the beach. You just put your beach chairs, cooler, etc. out on the patio in the morning, and then take the less than 5-minute walk to the beach. When you arrive, you will find your beach area all set up. We definitely took advantage of this and LOVED it!
There is a little general store that is only a 3-minute walk away. They have all the basic supplies and even have a kitchen that serves breakfast and lunch. It is only a short 5-10-minute drive into town which has lots of places to eat and antique shops to browse.
We look forward to coming back to Sacred Mountain River Suites. It is a fantastic place to stay while in Kernville.

Tranquil, Serene and Lovely!
What a wonderful find this little place is to visit! Wendy is the owner. She was very attentive, kind and genuine. The rooms are peaceful, comfortable and cool. The surroundings are amazing! My husband used the bath house followed by a deluxe massage. He was simply in heaven! Logan is the grounds keeper. He was right there if we needed anything whatsoever! Such amazing people! If your ever in this area you don’t want to miss staying here! Fabulous! Thank you both for making our stay so lovely! We hope to bring the whole family next time!

Delightful Place
We were treated to this place by our family as we were in town for a wedding. Simply a beautiful oasis and close to the cutest little town. We had coffee, creamer, sugar and oatmeal to wake up to. The place was very clean and the linens and towels were very nice. Logan checked in with us a couple times to ask if all was okay and if we needed any fill up on coffee or any other supplies.
We did not get to experience the tub but, our kids loved the outdoor shower area. If we are visiting again, we will definitely look this place up again. Thank you for your hospitality.
