The LAST Resort
Very disappointed in this hotel. Front desk was extremely rude both times we came to check in. First time we just wanted to make sure we could leave our car there while we went to the game but she was lambasting us before we could ask our question. Then the tone changed and she was apologetic and told us we could check in after the game.
We came back after the game and a new desk clerk cut us off and said check in wasn’t until 4 pm when I asked the time it was 3:40. My bad! I made a comment about strict adherence to the rules and she shot back with a very non-professional comment.
The rooms are very old and musty. The mattresses are ok. Very firm but at least not lumpy. Furniture is at least 40 years old, dark wood, chipped and scratched, and needs replaced.
The pool looks fine until you get closer and it also needs updated and bugs removed.
First and last time at Clarion.

Didn’t stay there. First room was full of bugs (roaches). They gave us a different room on the other side of the hotel. Same experience. This time the room smelled like bug spray. Asked for a refund. The lady said it would take 24 hours for it to get back to my account. It’s been 4 days and nothing yet. I’ll be contacting them tomorrow. Hotels.com should remove this listing from their website. Wasted time and possibly money. Ended up up at the Holidag inn express in Dunedin. Highly recommend them.

Definitely a hard no
The bed is soft and comfy. We were put in the very back corner room of the hotel where people live. Our toilet hardly flushed and made a terrible sound the whole time we were there, it sounded like a whale. Room was a lot smaller than expected, very very outdated. The hotel bar was closed. Staff were friendly. Def do your research, I wish that I would have done more.

Shocking Treatment - Falsely Accused & Forced Out
Our family stay was abruptly ended due to appalling treatment by hotel staff. We were falsely accused of serious misconduct, with absolutely no evidence presented to support this serious claim. Instead of a fair process, staff threatened us with police involvement and ultimately forced us to leave the property immediately. Choice and the GM have refused to help us.
To make matters worse, we were also harassed and videotaped by another guest during this ordeal, creating a hostile and unsafe environment. The lack of professionalism and the aggressive, accusatory approach by the staff were unacceptable. This forced us to scramble and find alternative accommodation, causing significant distress. We felt unsafe and completely mistreated. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.
