Really disappointing -- dance club downstairs open all night

I was really disappointed on many levels. To start, the dance club downstairs closes at nearly 4am (supposed to be 2:45am) and you can hear the music regardless of what floor you're on. Not every hotel in Dubai is like this! If you want a good night's sleep, this isn't the place for you. Also, lots of little things annoyed me: 1. I had only one little bath towel when I checked in, so I asked again at the front desk for another towel (or a bath mat or a hand towel or something). The housekeeper came to my door with another bath towel, then pointed out that I already had one. I said yes, but I also do hand wash and have nothing to stand on...he said that I'm "one person" so I should get "one towel". Really? He finally gave me the second bath towel and returned with a hand towel a few minutes later. 2. When the bell hop dropped off my bags, he said he'd remind housekeeping to bring me two bottles of water (I had none). I asked at the front desk the next day and found nothing in my room...asked the man who brought me my towels and got nothing...finally had to ask another man cleaning in the hallway that afternoon and found two bottles in my room when I returned from errands -- but my door wasn't latched! 3. The fitness room was stuffed into a tiny room on the first floor and none (really none) of the equipment works. Overall, my room was clean and nice, but the little things (and the dance club) added up to one big disappointment.

Not recommended

If you we're looking for a place near downtown dubai, you should avoid checking in to this hotel. So far this hotel wasn't able to spare us a comfortable night. From 10pm until 3am there were loud music and not just that we can even hear chairs and tables moving, emcee's talking and we can imagine they were partying..we tried to be calm hoping it will soon stop before we call reception.unluckly our patience run out and our desperate longing for a peaceful night move us to call the reception..as per them there were no bar near our room and they will check on it..by 3am it stopped but after an hour room service knocked on our door trice and mistakenly gives us adapter because, alledgely, we called reception for it.
To make the long story short if you want to visit dubai and you want a room that will comfort your tired body and legs from touring the city, definitely avoid this hotel.

Poor Customer Service

Bad Custsomer service! I had a terrible experience with how the security approached me. Even the front desks trying to educate me that as if i haven’t been in a hotel before.
I would not really recommend this place to stay.

Pathetic "4 star" hotel

Was booked to stay in Lotus for a week, however stayed only one day - completely overrated, noisy and "tired" hotel. I think they are giving big discounts to attract people as well as running a noisy club which starts about midnight. Problems with toilet seat, washing area, not clean,...etc. WiFi/Internet very poor.

Poor value for money

Stayed here for 4 nights and on the whole felt it was poor value for money. The average night cost came to about 70 pounds per night (inclusive of all taxes etc). There were good and bad points.
Good points
Free airport transfer - a vital service particularly when arriving in Dubai late at night. I requested this in my original booking and asked for confirmation but did not receive it and had to chase up the hotel about this - that was a bit of a poor start.
Check-in was generally fine.
The apartment was spacious and had room to accommodate up to 3 people. The double bed was a good size and the stiff mattress was fine too.
Fridge, microwave and washing machine available - washing machine is an essential with clothes becoming drenched in sweat from the daily heat.
Room is cleaned everyday in the PM, which is good as I didn't want to be disturbed in the AM.
The best thing about this place is the rooftop swimming pool and hot tub jacuzzi which runs continuous without breaks - fantastic just to sit out in it underneath the warm starry sky.
The second best thing is its close proximity to Abu Hail metro station.
Bad points
No kettle in the room - this item should be in the room as standard.
Wi-fi did not work one night - this was very frustrating and I was offered nothing for this inconvenience despite complaining about it. Very disappointed about that.
Not the cleanest of places and I'm pretty sure I saw a small cockroach scurrying around the kitchen at one point. When I went to kill it it ran back to its hiding place underneath the cooker. This put me off completely.
Lighting in the room is a bit depressing.
I had another 4 nights in Dubai and decided to book somewhere else. I will not be returning to this place and I do not think it represents good value for money. A price point of 40 pounds per night would be about right.
