Excellent Hotel – Highly Recommend!
I had the pleasure of staying here recently and I cannot say enough good things about my experience. From the moment my husband and I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their professionalism and genuine warmth set the tone for a truly memorable stay.
The rooms were spotless and well-equipped with everything I could need for a comfortable visit.
The facilities at the hotel were outstanding. The pool area was clean and inviting, with plenty of sun loungers available throughout the day. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals, and breakfast was a particular highlight with a wide variety of fresh, high quality options and so much variety of food catering for everyone
The location was also perfect with a private beach the view from our balcony was the presidential palace. It’s close to most attractions which made exploring the area so convenient while still offering a peaceful retreat at the end of the day.

What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service. Every staff member I encountered was attentive, friendly, and genuinely invested in ensuring my stay was perfect.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. I can’t wait to return!

Review of Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana
The entrance to the hotel is clean, well maintained, and has a glamorous feel on arrival. While the hotel itself is large, the brown exterior gives it an older appearance than it likely is.
We stayed in a studio room with a balcony and kitchenette, which was a good size. The bathroom was spacious, and the overall cleanliness of the room was excellent. However, the décor felt dated, there was a faint smell of damp, and storage space was quite limited.
The pool area is a good size and generally receives plenty of sun, though by 2:30–3:00 PM in April, half the area is already shaded. Sun loungers in prime sunny spots get taken early, and the hotel enforces a one-hour limit on reserving beds with towels. The pool itself is warm and pleasant to swim in. One odd experience was being questioned by the pool bar staff for asking for a cup of ice, as they stated I needed to purchase a drink. strange, especially for a hotel that offers self-catering options.
The gym is well equipped, with plenty of treadmills and weights. More cross trainers would be a useful addition.
The main restaurant offers a varied buffet with daily changes. Some dishes are cooked fresh in front of you, and there’s a good selection overall. However, the quality falls a bit short of a five star standard. The meats were often dry, and side dishes like potatoes were bland and under seasoned. While individual staff members were friendly, service was inconsistent; getting basic things like cutlery or drinks sometimes required chasing someone down. The indoor seating area, especially away from the windows, felt dark and somewhat uninviting. Overall, there seemed to be a lack of atmosphere. both staff and guests felt disconnected, the vibe a bit flat.
Hotel facilities are quite limited. There is a squash court and access to boat trips, but not much else to explore on site. There’s one additional Arabic restaurant outside and a small café in the lobby, but that’s about it. For those looking to fully relax, this might be suitable. However, the location feels quite isolated, and walking to the Corniche doesn’t offer much more. The surrounding area feels fragmented, with restaurants scattered and generally unwelcoming.
Overall, Khalidiya Palace is likely better suited for families seeking peace and quiet. For solo travellers or couples looking for a livelier atmosphere or easier access to attractions, I wouldn’t recommend it. My boyfriend and I were the only English guests in this hotel, and felt as though there were predominantly Russians and German guests staying here. I’d personally rate it closer to a 4-star than a 5-star hotel. There is definitely room for improvement in both the facilities and service.

Good but not great
We stayed at this hotel in a Suite for a week during the Christmas holidays
The weather was just perfect. 25 degrees C and very little clouds.
We liked:
- the many heated swimming pools (29 C)
- the private beach
- the professional lifeguards watching the pools
We disliked:
- the breakfast: the room was very noisy and crowded. There was an outdoor terrace but it had very limited space and you had to queue all the time! Overall there was many food options but the quality was nowhere near other hotels we experienced in Abu Dhabi or Dubai like the Saint Regis or the Intercontinental.
- the kids club: we booked that hotel because it had a kids club. It was really underwhelming. We were not convinced by the staff and their motivation to propose activities to the kids so we did not use it in the end.
- the location: there was not much to do it terms of shopping or restaurant near the hotel.

Վերջերս հանգստացա Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana հյուրանոցում և ուզում եմ կիսվել իմ հաճելի փորձով։ Հյուրանոցը հիանալի տեղանքում է՝ անմիջապես ծովափին՝ հարմարավետ ու գեղեցիկ միջավայրով։ Սենյակները շատ մաքուր էին և հարմարավետ, իսկ մահճակալներն այնքան հարմար էին, որ կարելի էր իսկապես լիարժեք հանգստանալ։
Աշխատակիցները շատ բարեհամբույր և հոգատար էին, պատրաստ օգնելու ցանկացած հարցում։ Լողավազանն ու մասնավոր լողափը շատ լավ էին պահպանված և ստեղծում էին իսկական հանգստի մթնոլորտ։ Նախաճաշը առանձնանում էր իր բազմազանությամբ և թարմությամբ՝ ամեն ինչ շատ համեղ էր։

Recently stayed at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana and had a truly wonderful experience! The hotel is perfectly located right by the beach, offering both comfort and stunning views. The rooms were exceptionally clean and cozy, and the beds were super comfortable — I slept like a baby!
The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with anything I needed. The swimming pool and private beach were very well maintained and offered a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. The breakfast was another highlight — a wide variety of fresh and delicious options.
If I had to mention anything for improvement, it would be the Wi-Fi speed and the room soundproofing, but these are minor issues compared to the overall great experience.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Abu Dhabi and I look forward to coming back!
