Do not go to Hagia Sophia hotel in Istanbul
We had a very negative experience with the Hotel Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. We booked a room, but then we decided to cancel it, and change the types of rooms, because a lady could not come being sick and instead of a double we needed triple, we made the mistake of canceling two days after the deadline which was with total penalty of the price of the rooms, but no one at the reception pointed out the error of having booked 4 rooms including 2 canceled.
Back in Italy we realized that we had paid for 4 rooms, but used only two and we kindly requested booking to intervene and protect ourselves, booking said that it all depended on the structure that we kindly called to get refunded in currency for the two rooms, Mr. Ali the manager told us that we were refunded with a vaucher never had neither vaucher nor money, despite having admitted our mistake.
This behavior is dishonest towards the customer who did not use the services, also on the same days the elevator broke and we were on the 4th floor and there was no water, so without being able to take a shower or even go to the bathroom.
So we made mistakes and paid them they made mistakes and paid nothing and also booking failed to do anything.
We tried to contact the property for clarification, but the management was unavailable and did not solve the problem. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a peaceful stay without any nasty surprises.

Most visits can be made on foot and the tram is less than two minutes walk

Decent hotel in good location for sights
Breakfast okay.
Good location, just a short, uphill walk to Cemberlitas tram Station.
Enough happening in the area without being too frantic.
Easy walking distance to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace.
Good find over all.
