Absolutely amazing stay

An amazing reception with close personal treatment from staff. Incredible food with huge portions and made with local ingredients. Clean and comfortable bedrooms. Swimming pool was great after a day of cycling. Great price. Will definitely go back!

Albert and Saint George

Stayed along with 7 others at the Sant Marcal .
Albert could not be more helpful , he is the perfect host .
Albert and all his staff made our stay perfect .
Eight of us were walking the Camino de Santiago .
We were welcomed with a beautiful lunch .
The evening meal was traditional tapas made to perfection and more than enough for eight tired walkers sorry make. That 7 tired walkers as I was to fast and to fit for the others to keep up .Albert provided them with all the remedies for blisters muscle pain etc ,while I tasted his fabulous wine and received a Catalonian history lesson on Saint George highly recommend a stay 10/10 . 5 star service

We were passing through on a cycling holiday for tWelcomed by Albert who I believe is the owner. There was no official check-in just a very warm welcome. Our family room what's to adjoining rooms. They were clean tidy and comfortable. Beds are excellent.
Our package included half-board and the food was plentiful and they were able to cater for my wife who is vegetarian. The food was simple, fresh and tasted great!
Breakfast was a feast and appeared to be never ending!
All in all a very comfortable stay! As you may see from most of my other reviews, I usually stay in more high end hotels and was a little concerned when I approached this hotel which advertises itself as a two star. I was certainly not disappointed and was very surprised. The service is five star level and this hotel deserves better than two stars! I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would definitely stay again. Thank you very much to Albert and the rest of the team, especially for the lovely wonderful lady Carme, who served breakfast on both mornings. She could not have done more for us. We are very grateful.

healthy & tasty food. Friendly and nice staff

This review is written in English because Tripadvisor does not accept reviews in Catalan.
I am taking my daily lunch in Sant Marçal since many years ago. Meals are tasty and healthy far away from those daily menu bland dishes soaked in fatty sauce you can find in some other places. Albert, the owner, is absolutely friendly and Carme, one of the waitresses is lovely. Both, and also the other staff, take care of customers with a brilliant smile.
Just go, look to the menu and, in case you need special dressing or have special dietary requirements...just ask for it. Albert will have a solution for you unless you are a martian. And even in such case, he probably still have some kriptonyte in the cellar.
Go there and enjoy.
