Christmas at Paihia

Very disappointed, no internet and no TV because of no internet. There were noisy parties on the beach opposite. Early morning noisy activity on beach. It appeared that that the owners were away as it was Christmas with the motel being run by youngsters. An alarm went off one evening and nobody knewhow to fix it. The location is great.

Just a motel

This is a small hotel that’s conveniently located in Paihia. The room was small but clean. The bathroom was a good size.
For the price they charge it’s dated.
Nice views of the water across the street. You can easily walk to restaurants from here.

The Motel itself and staff were excellent. The room was really clean and comfortable for the two of us. Pool and hot tub were great. The shower was fab! A little bit of noise in the mornings from the road but nothing much to worry about. Easy walking distance to the shops, restaurants and pier.
Side note- was nothing to do with the motel and they have complained about it but one of the nights there was a group of youths on the beach with their cars and loud music which went on till 4/5am. Apparently the council and police are not prepared to do anything about it. Not the motels fault and I have a lot of sympathy for the local businesses

The Manager was very friendly and obliging. The Motel has a lovely outlook.
