Perfectly adequate option for a budget conscious traveller looking for the basics
PROS
VALUE - We paid 1100 mexican peso for this stay through booking.com. I noted that the rates online were a lot cheaper than those advertised at reception so keep this in mind if considering a stay here.
WIFI - Worked
HOT WATER - Worked
SECURITY - There was someone on reception all the time we were there. The rooms locked and also had a door chain.
LOCATION - It was within walking distance to the centre of the historico district and malecon so we didnt need to taxi anywhere once we were at the hotel. It was about 3km from the ado bus terminal so we did need a taxi from there - the cost was 50 peso.
ROOM - We were in room 20 and I think we may have been upgraded to a king bed. I thought the bed was comfortable and clean. The hotel itself is a little bit older and so could probably use a bit of paint but was otherwise adequate. The room size was fine but once again I’m not sure if we were upgraded.
SERVICE - Staff were very friendly and spoke great english
COMPLEMENTARY COFFEE/WATER - Communal water refill station at reception which produced both cold water and boiling water (for coffee). Small touch but was appreciated.
AIR CONDITIONING - Worked really well which was important as Campeche was quite hot when we visited in August and we needed to retreat to the room for the afternoons when it became too much.
Overall given the relatively cheap cost (particularly in contrast to its competitors) I was happy with this hotel.

Nice beds and ac, staff is very helpful and can speak English
The staff also didn’t mind changing some reservation dates what helped us very much. For this price I recommend this hotel.
