Beautiful rooms, super clean, great design. Only slight downside is the location - it’s a little bit far from the centre. On the plus side, it’s a quiet location.

I have previously stayed at Hoxton hotels and have been impressed with their vibe and design. Our stay at the Hoxton Rome was a different experience. Prior to our arrival, we received an email from the hotel mentioning that they were hosting a festival that weekend but reassuring us that our stay would not be “overly impacted by the event”. This was untrue. The lobby and other ground floor areas were packed with people at all times and felt like a concert with very loud music and drunk people until late. In addition, the hotel made little distinction between hotel guests and festival participants. Even as a hotel guest, it was difficult to get into the hotel and you could not buy a drink at the bar without having to stand in line to buy a drink chip and getting your (expensive by Rome standards) drink served in a plastic cup. We got the clear impression that the hotel’s priorities were the festival and being trendy for locals and not assisting hotel guests. Had we been informed of the extent of the festival and how disruptive it would be, we would have cancelled our booking and stayed somewhere else. We will not be returning to the Hoxton Rome.

Leading up to the stay I received a e-mail advising of the Parioli Punk festival event that would be occurring at the Hotel. It stated “As for your stay, we want to reassure you that it won't be overly impacted by the event”. Our first night there was a concert in the main lobby with extremely loud base that could be heard as high as the 6th floor. The staff accommodated us and moved us to the quiet side of the hotel and were apologetic. The event was extremely disruptive and I would not have stayed here had I known. I can only imagine this was disturbing for many other guests.
We ate at the restaurant, twice, the dining staff seemed more concerned about the event than dine in guests. Food was bland and tasteless. Drinks were overpriced. This was my second experience staying a Hoxton and the last. Outside of being aesthetically please these hotels lack adequate amenities for the expensive price point.

Breakfast could be better.
No buffet, everything was a la carte, which made things slow and staff forgetful albeit friendly. Would encourage them to offer a la carte instead.
The rest of the stay was very good and I’d stay there again, but think twice about the breakfast.
