The family-run Soprattutto is set in a renovated 19th-century building in the historic centre of Montalbano, a 30-minute drive from the seaside in Metaponto Lido and 1 hour by car from the Pollino National Park. The en suite rooms offer air conditioning and a TV with DVD player. The rooms of B&B Sopratutto are decorated in Arte Povera style and offer views of the Agri River valley. You have independent access to the building and the room, and free use of the communal kitchen. Breakfast is a sweet buffet including fresh fruit and local specialities.

Very nice and well maintained hotel, enjoys fantastic views and strategic location. The rooms are spacious and equipped with excellent air conditioning, although in summer being the highest place in the city, it remains cooler. Lo consiglio!

Feel at home

After the climb through the characteristic streets of the historic center of Montalbano Jonico, from the Sopra terrace the view of the Val d'Agri and its gullies opens up and the heart opens. Mrs. Rosalia's hospitality makes you feel at home and reconcile you with life.

Warm welcome

We were welcomed by Rosalia's kindness in her b&b with a breathtaking view, in the medieval center of Montalbano Jonico. A stop for travelers discovering Basilicata. Comfortable, air-conditioned room. In addition to a small bedroom fridge, a shared fridge with freezer is available.

'Above all' the characteristic Lucan gullies in the historic city of Montalbano Jonico (MT).

The Bed and Breakfast 'Soprattutto' (in English 'Above All') is located in an old house of end '800, recently renovated, located on a hill 'above all' the characteristic 'calanchi', amazing landscape with gullies in the historic center called 'terravecchia' of Montalbano Jonico's city. Rosalia Monzo's family welcomes guests in rooms with a pleasant atmosphere, reserving and guaranteeing special service to all its guests. It is near the Ionian Sea, the Greek Temples in Metaponto, the Sassi of Matera and other towns with interesting monuments and places to visit as the Ghost City of Craco, etc.

On top of the world

Arriving at the B&B, after searching the myriad of little streets, is like magic. Incredible view on the best part of Basilicata. Idyllic sunsets, very quiet part of the village.The owners are friendly and unobtrusive. The B&B offers basic luxury and is a splendid base for exploring the surroundings. Go for the attick apartment when you have the choice.
Montalbano Jonico is not very touristic. We ended up in the same pizzeria two nights in a row as e could not find any other options.
