Florence Part - 1 The Aurora

In Florence we broke our stay in two parts. One in the city at the Aurora and second at a Vinyard. Both location were awesome Part -1 the Aurora hotel has great location just close to.the station and has a historic feel to the whole place. If you are hiring car be careful as many one way streets. I got ticket after reaching home for going into a wrong lane. It was fun in a way as it was my 1st and only ticket while driving internationally. The room was just as is shown in the pictures very clean and very comfortable. Once we had covered the city and seen the historical sights we decided to drive to Tuscany and spend the rest of our days staying inside a beautiful Castillo. Perfect home base for visiting Florence

The staff were so helpful and kind! And the value and location are unbeatable -- it's an affordable hotel right across the street from the train station, very close to Piazza Santa Maria Novella, and a short walk from the Duomo. It was the perfect home base in Florence.
The walls are really thin - if you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend earplugs. You can hear everything that's happening around you. The shower is also quite small, which is pretty standard in Italy. None of these are big problems, but it's worth being aware if a quiet room and bigger shower are important to you.

Convenient Location

My wife booked the Deluxe which was spacious and clean with modern furnished toilet. The hotel is situated less than 200m away from either the Florence Train Station and Bus Station. The staffs are courteous and approachable to help and offered suggestions for day trips to regions around Florence such as Lucca, Siena & Pisa. However, housekeeping was less desired as toilet rolls were not replaced when used up and cups were not washed when used.

Quiet garden in busy city!

This is a wonderful privately owned hotel with personable staff. The owner, Giovani, is very hospitable. The hotel is extremely convienient, as it is directly across the street from Firenze Santa Maria Novella, the main train station. Even with all the noise and activity outside the front door of the hotel, no traffic noise can be heard from the rear garden. The garden has a covered seating and table area with mature trees, shrubs and flowers. It is a nice place to eat breakfast and plan out the days activities or have a drink upon your return from sightseeing. There is a reasonably priced and fully stocked cooler just off the front desk. The included breakfast may have a smaller selection than most hotels, however what they do offer is of a much higher quality than many of the hotels that I have stayed in. We stayed several days and never heard any noise in our street facing room. The room was very clean and the beds are comfortable. The new rain showers are a great addition to the rooms, especially after a long hot day of sightseeing. I will not hesitate to stay here again upon my return to Florence.

Fantastic Location near the Train Station and All Attractions

If you are traveling in Italy via rail, it doesn't get more convenient than this. The location is right across the street from the main terminal, but there was absolutely no train noise or any other distractions. The breakfast is served in a small garden. There is a grocery store a couple hundred feet down the street, which was convenient. All the major Florence attractions are within easy walking distance. There is a tram stop directly outside the hotel, but I never had to use it to get to any attraction. My only slight negative comment is that, although wifi is available, it never worked for me. That didn't bother me too much, but the kids had an issue with it.
