A pearl in the mountains!

We chose a B&B accommodation for our hit and run in Aprica and by chance we came across this beautiful, clean and well-kept hotel with kind and welcoming staff!
Excellent location.
Definitely recommended!

Avoid

Our trip was put to misery due to the horrendous conditions. Many described it as a prison, NOT mentioning the extremely poor quality food. In the afternoon we were greeted by soggy fish fingers, tasteless pasta and not even served butter, salt and pepper. The worst of it all was the staff. The head chef was very rude to me and my friends often mocking us and telling us we had no education. He shouted at us and often glared at us. The manger was also rude giving us rude feedback and being not a pleasant person. However the 2 women working on catering we very pleasant just a shame how we were let down. Lights were often off and it was very cold at night with doors being locked all day.

It is wise to set up any transfer from Tirano to Aprica. Cap driver's were not accommodating. A cook from a restaurant helped us out to find a taxi.

Great School Trip Hotel

The Roma is great for school trips, it's in a good central location easily walkable to the slopes.
The owners and staff are lovely, they don't speak a lot of English but enough to get by.
Rooms are comfortable and the water is always hot. The hotel is well maintained and clean. The food is fine for a school trip.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hotel Roma for your school ski trip, hopefully you'll book through Equity.

Perfect for our school trip and those looking for a simple but comfortable ski base

This hotel was brilliant. We stayed with 11 teachers and 80 children and it was exactly what we needed. It is family owned and run and all the staff were fabulous - from the tolerant lady who put up with kids needing letting into rooms they’d locked themselves out of and making endless cups of (very good) cappuccino for staff to the brilliant waitresses to the man who cooked for us and shoveled the snow. The food was simple and lacking in the vegetable department but always plentiful and hot - I don’t think the kids were bothered by the lack of vegetables anyway! There were oranges and apples served with breakfast and a small salad bar with the evening meal. The rooms were no frills but were kept warm and really well cleaned (especially considering the mess of up to 5 teenagers sharing!) The bathrooms were a good size with decent hot showers.
There are 2 good sized boot rooms which were really helpful.
When we left, we were given packed lunches for all the children and staff, which was really thoughtful.
Would definitely recommend the lovely Hotel Roma for school groups or those looking for a simple but comfortable base for skiing.
