Prefer hotel to guesthouse

The Hotel Püttlingen stands for friendly and competent staff, a good breakfast and a guest house that is certainly inexpensive, but is located right on the busy city street, has no air conditioning and the best days are long gone.
As a business traveler, the hotel might have been a better place to stay...
The rooms in the guest house were also a bit smelly. In general, we were happy to only stay one night.

Excellent Hotel - great value for money

Arrived a little later than expected, we received a warm welcome and were quickly checked in and on our way to our room.
The room as enormous with a separate lounge/bedroom area.
The room as spotlessly clean as was the bathroom>
We ate in town as the restaurant was closed.
A quiet comfortable nights sleep.
Breakfast had a medium choice of fare but was fresh and tasty.
Would definitely stay here again

Clean, welcoming, good value

Perfectly located for visit to Völklingen Ironworks or US servicemen. Friendly staff, clean rooms and good breakfast with lots of variety. It is really very close to the town of Saarbrücken. The suite is huge and only a few $$ more. Comes with soaking shower, bidet, living room and many additional convenient amenities. Great location above a grocery. Inexpensive pizza place around the corner.

To horrible to try

I walked away from this hotel. It is situated on a marketsquare out of 70's movie set. Concrete building above a supermarket ! The fotos make you think the hotel is on the ground floor but it is not. You have to acces the hotel through a fire escape stair next to supermarket. I walked away.
