Careful, unprofessional!
1/5
just now on Google
We received a Jochen Swiss voucher as a gift and booked at the Hotel Lellman. We threw away the voucher.
Unfortunately, we had to pay 80% of the non-commissioned hotel stay and be very annoyed by the insolence of this hotel.
For the non-rebooking of the hotel and the resulting costs, I unfortunately only have 2 colleagues as witnesses. for us the trouble and effort is too great and we want to conclude with it. Therefore, my husband paid the required cancellation bill of almost 500€.
The boss of the hotel could not handle criticism, just my statement that this was a mess is enough that she sent me an unprofessional and insulted email with the threat of cancellation costs.
We didn't tell my son who gave us this well-intentioned voucher for Christmas. He had meant well and gave us the voucher with 3 days wellness, but only 50€ loaded on it. He is still young and does not know that with the 3 days wellness voucher we also have to book 3 days and pay the rest ourselves.
In addition, we had to take full board. And then it all went so wrong through this hotel.
Therefore, never again Jochen Schweizer and never again Hotel Lellmann.
Thank you for nothing, but in hindsight we are glad we were not guests of this hotel.

Beautiful days on the Moselle
We booked 5 days B&B through Touridat for around €700.00. This price is OK. If you book directly, you would have to pay around €1250.00, which seems quite high to us. In any case, we were satisfied with the price/performance ratio. The price also included parking, WiFi connection and use of the pool, sauna and fitness facilities.
As already mentioned, the hotel is centrally located in the town, directly on the Moselle and also on the main thoroughfare. Koblenz and Cochem are each about 25 km away. The train station is about 500m away. There are almost no other restaurants or shops in the small Moselle town.
Service and friendliness
The first contact was very positive. Since I didn't want to buy the Touridat voucher until the reservation was confirmed, I called the hotel directly. There was no problem at all and I was able to provide the voucher details later. All other questions about the hotel were also answered competently. We received an email confirmation of our booking on the same day.
The welcome on arrival was also OK. Minor defects were immediately remedied. We always had the feeling that we were important as guests.
The other service staff (restaurant, breakfast room, room service) were also friendly and helpful.
The hotel has 1 restaurant, where dinner (3-course menu) and breakfast were also served. The evening menus were good and plentiful; The only small drawback was that the meat and fish dishes generally needed a little less cooking time. But that's a matter of taste. Breakfast was completely up to our expectations. It was served buffet style and contained everything you would expect in a hotel of this category (coffee, tea, juices, sausage, cheese, jam, eggs, various types of bread and rolls, etc.). Care was taken to ensure that supplies were replenished in good time.
Our room (No. 107) was around 25 square meters. The furniture was a bit older, but still in good condition. There was a large flat-screen TV with the usual channels. However, this was attached to the side of the bed, which bothered us a little. There was no minibar or safe in the room. The location on the Moselle also means being right on the main thoroughfare. Those who are sensitive to noise can have a problem with this, especially in summer, when the windows may be open at night. It didn't bother us particularly. There is no air conditioning.
The bathroom or rather the shower. the shower was over 10 square meters and functionally furnished. A hairdryer and cosmetic mirror are available. Overall we were satisfied.
Two or three things should not go unmentioned. A second, larger mirror in the room would not hurt and lighting the inside of the closet with another lamp would be essential. In the evening you can hardly see anything even when you are in the closet.
The biggest problem, however, was the WiFi. It is very slow and keeps breaking down. This is urgently needed.
The hotel has a small indoor pool, sauna and fitness room.
The location is ideal for trips along the Moselle (Koblenz and Cochem approx. 25 km) or Eltz Castle (who doesn't know it from the picture on the back of the old 500 DM note?) approx. 13 km. There are also countless well-signposted hiking trails.
Conclusion
All in all we felt very comfortable and could well imagine staying at the "Lellmann" again.

Very disappointing welcome
Arriving around 2 p.m., we were asked to wait a quarter of an hour as our room would be ready. Very happy to get the room so quickly, we have a drink on the hotel terrace.
After an hour, we go to reception: “Wait another quarter of an hour, the room will be ready”.
After half an hour, we were given a key without a key ring, specifying that the official key had been taken away by a customer.
Surprised, we go up (5 flights of stairs!) to our room and discover the door open and not made.
We go back down to reception (5 flights of stairs). We are offered another room next to the previous one that we are shown (5 flights). This is a “corridor” room with 2 single beds adjoining. We obviously refuse.
We are therefore asked to wait and we go back down (5 flights).
After half an hour, we were informed that our room was ready.
We go back up (5 flights) to discover that the key does not open the door! So we go back down (5 flights) then we go back up with the receptionist (5 flights) who can only notice that the door does not actually open.
She opens the door with the maid's key, goes back downstairs and leaves us stranded. Not knowing what is going on, my wife and I consult and decide that we will refuse a room that does not lock and that we will leave the hotel.
We go back down (5 flights) to inform the receptionist who seems to have found another key and we go back up with her (5 flights). The key still does not open the door and the lady remains perplexed, repeating, perplexed, that the key number is correct.
We are about to leave the hotel when a third person appears announcing that we have found the official key.
We are on our knees with all these flights of stairs covered without the slightest help with the suitcases and without regard for our age (seventy-year-olds).
The check out turned out to be just as disastrous because we were refused our two credit cards (Visa and Mastecard) although they were from a large, well-known bank (BNP Paribas Fortis). We were not informed in advance of this provision and no notice mentions it at reception. More than surprising for a hotel!
But worse, our debit cards are also refused, apparently because they are Visa Debit.
Not having enough cash, we inform the hotelier that we are unable to pay the bill. Our debit card will finally be accepted with a grimace of displeasure.
Regarding the room, it is the least well located which was probably allocated to us as seems usual in the case of a promotional offer (here HolydayLine). It overlooked another part of the hotel, with rooms facing each other at a short distance without any confidentiality.
For the rest, the hotel seems to have been completely renovated and the rooms are clean and relatively comfortable. I will say new lower 3*.
Excellent breakfast and very good evening meal. It’s a shame that the restaurant room is so dark and not sufficiently ventilated.

Absolutely stunning!
I stayed with my partner we were visiting my mum who lives in Brodenbach. The area is so picturesque and great for people who enjoy walking if not you can normally get a taxi within 5 -20 minutes. There are some decent restaurants in the area that provide a good service. Evening walks are just as beautiful as the daytime very relaxing.
The hotel itself has a gym, sauna, steam room, sunbeds, relaxation room and a beautiful swimming pool. We were sad to leave as we only spent two nights there. We'll definitely be staying longer when we return. We had one of the themed rooms which was a little more pricey but worth every penny. We stayed in the Romeo and Julliette suite.
They do a self serve continental breakfast absolutely delicious and the rolls are so crisp and fresh and soft in the middle. You can connect straight to their WiFi you do not need a password. Löf/Brodenbach is a place of pure relaxation and beauty and should be enjoyed in spring and summer time.
If you're looking to party this is not for you.
