A place to arrive.

This is the umpteenth time I have stayed here overnight near the A9 motorway. It couldn't be more ideal. Great value for money. The rooms are clean and quiet. The food is good Franconian cuisine. Very tasty. The host and the staff are very friendly. The breakfast is plentiful. I feel very comfortable here.

Noisy and disappointing.

We are a family of four who stayed in a family room for one night in this hotel on our way from Denmark to Austria.
The hotel itself is clean and well kept. So was the room we were given. We had selected this hotel at booking.com because it was not in a noisy city but in the countryside - hoping for a quiet nights sleep. However, this hotel is situated between two roads - one of which was bordered by the wall of the hotel. This was a hot night so we had to keep the window open - and were awakened countless times by cars and farming machines driving by less than three metres from our beds!
There is no A/C - but with this location there should be.
Add to that that our two kids had to share a bed which was composed by cushions from a couch - with numerous cracks and posts to be avoided.
Having slept poorly we did not get down to breakfast until half past eight. The buffet was a joke - we had to ask for milk and were presented with luke warm UHT milk! The scrambled eggs were bright green from being heated for too long and the bacon was luke warm but raw. The staff - one woman - was busy chatting in the reception.
None of our numerous devices were able to connect to the wifi in the room.
We are not coming back.

Zwischenstopp

wir haben heut ein Zwischenstopp in diesem Lokal gehabt und wir müssen sagen es war nicht schlecht. Das Lokal ist sehr leicht zu finden . Es war gut besucht und obwohl viel Gäste haben wir echt nur 10 min auf unser Essen gewartet. Wir hatten Schweine medaillons und Schäufele. Beides war ausreichen und geschmacklich gut. Bedienung sehr freundlich und wir wurden auch mal nach einem zweiten Getränk gefragt was wir bisher in verschiedenen Lokalen vermisst haben. Dieses Lokal werden wir sicher nochmal besuchen

Landgasthof, regionale Produkte, freundlicher Service

Gut bürgerlich, Preis- Leistungsverhältnis in Ordnung, besonders empfehlenswert ist das Schäufele, das Schnitzel Wiener Art und anschließend ein Schlehengeist zur Verdauung. Drei Generationen sind im Gastraum anwesend, vor allem wenn die Gäste der Region zum Kartenspielen kommen.

Nicht noch einmal!

Wir haben im Juni vier Tage in diesem Landgasthof verbracht. Er liegt verkehrsgünstig in der Nähe der Autobahnanschlüsse zur A9 und der A93. Die Stadt Hof liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe.
Unser Zimmer war zwar angenehm geräumig und sauber, jedoch in die Jahre gekommen. Insbesondere das Mobiliar sollte hier einmal ausgetauscht werden. Im kleinen Bad befanden sich eine Runddusche, WC, Waschbecken und Fön. Leider wirkt sich die verkehrsgünstige Lage negativ aus, da man unter der Woche bereits ab 6:00h morgens mit Verkehrslärm direkt unter dem Zimmerfenster rechnen muss. Ebenso ungünstig wirkt sich die Tatsache aus, dass das Hotel auch von Busgruppen für eine Zwischenübernachtung genutzt wird: ab ca. 6:30h wird dann auf dem Hotelflur gelärmt.
Das Frühstück war ganz o.k. und ausreichend. Leider gab es aber nur „einfache“ Brötchen und Brot fehlte völlig. Das kann allerdings auch daran gelegen haben, dass wir sehr spät gefrühstückt haben. Wirklich gestört hat uns allerdings, dass sich überall im Frühstücksraum Fliegen „tummelten“ und wir einmal beim Frühstück bereits hochgestellte Stühle vorfanden, obwohl wir 45 Minuten vor dem Ende der Frühstückszeit ankamen.
Das Abendessen haben wir nur einmal dort eingenommen und dann von weiteren „Abenteuern“ die Finger gelassen. Uns wurde das falsche Essen gebracht, jedoch wurde es weder zurückgenommen, noch gab es eine Entschuldigung! Die Qualität des Essens war ebenfalls eines oberfränkischen Gasthofes nicht würdig. Wir haben dort in anderen Landgasthöfen gegessen, die wesentlich besser waren.
Der Service scheint auch nicht gerade im Vordergrund zu stehen. So ist es uns passiert, dass eine Kellnerin lieber ein Fußballspiel verfolgte, als Getränke zu servieren. Zitat sinngemäß: „Da kann ich das Spiel ja gar nicht richtig sehen!“ - den genauen Wortlaut kann ich leider nicht mehr wiedergeben.
