Lovely stay

Not only did we get an upgrade even without asking but the staff through our stay was fantastic, breakfasts were definitely fitting a five star hotel expectations and there was nothing to complain about except for our rental car navigation which completely failed in finding the hotel. We had to take care of that portion by ourselves but thanks to our extensive travels even that was not an insurmountable problem.
Hotel is situated in close proximity to the major attraction - the medieval city, which also houses a number of good restaurants and the hotel parking is easy to access. Would definitely choose the same hotel next time.

Take rue des 3 couronnes, follow it at the end and then you will find the rue des Calquières which is the hotel street (one way). Not really a 5-starts hotel but still decent, great location. Expensive parking.

It's not really a five-star hotel but relatively decent for a 4-stars'. Location is great, just between the citadel (cite) and the city center, right on the old bridge leading to the cite. Unfortunately my room did not have a view to the citadel.
Parking is very expensive and very hard to reach, in a small street outside the hotel that can be reached only from one side of the city. Only after booking the paid parking I discovered it's unnecessary, becaue free parking is available across the bridge.

Dear Shais, we all thank you for your report about your stay and are sorry if you did not find Hotel du Roi, 5 stars rating because of the price of the parking. Parking at 15€ (which is really not expensive for a parking in a city center). Indeed, you have the option as well to park for free in the street ... when you are lucky enough to find a parking slot and the right place to park wihtout paying. Otherwise, the police takes off the car and you have to pay even expensive fine to get it back.

Quiet hotel, ideally located with a magnificent view of the city of Carcassonne! Very pleasant indoor pool, I also recommend the hotel's spa!

Disgraceful for a hotel of this ‘class’. We were given a room with no electricity and they made us feel bad because we had to change rooms . They also informed us the spa was closed and werenii oh verbal extremely rude. We asked for extra bath towels and they again made us feel this was wrong.

Great hotel with fabulous views of Carcassone Castle. Great sized room with bath and shower complementary robe slippers and mini bar. Excellent buffet breakfast.
4pm checkin is later than most hotels
Great pool use however steam room etc is part of spa at an additional cost of 45 euros per hour.
Overall great location for Christmas markets and castle 🏰 would highly recommend
