An exceptional setting for a remarkable stay.

Admittedly, access to this inn is not the easiest, but the trip is worth it. Surrounded by nature with sheep nearby, several Basque houses are terraced from the reception to the restaurant. Our room is a beautiful, large suite with every possible amenity, even if its location near a forest makes it rather dark. In this complex, you get around by golf cart, which is very pleasant, provided that other visitors don't come and steal it right from in front of your room!
We also enjoyed a beautiful pool and walks in the park, which were very much appreciated by our little dog, who, by the way, was very well received everywhere.
Nice buffet for breakfast, even if restocking can be slow when it's crowded.
The staff is very attentive, very friendly, and efficient.
A very beautiful stay complemented by a great gastronomic journey at the restaurant

Our favorite place in the Basque Country

What can I say that I haven't already said about this magical place... because of its landscapes, the tranquility of the location, and all the people who make your stay an enchanted interlude!!!!
Kindness, Benevolence, and Professionalism.
Chef John Argaud excels, and his pastry chef Damien is a little genius of pastry; his Grand Marnier soufflé is a delicious cloud.
Whether it is the bistronomic restaurant or the gastronomic restaurant, our taste buds are invited on a journey.
Can't wait to come back!!!

A magical setting in the middle of nowhere.

Exotic, rejuvenating, to be redone but for a minimum of 2 nights to fully enjoy this enchanting setting.

Simply exceptional stay!

Everything is there to have an unforgettable time: a warm and attentive welcome, impeccable services and a magnificent setting. The room is spacious and comfortable, the restaurant deserves its star; An address to recommend without the slightest hesitation.

It was a wonderful pleasure to stay at Auberge Ostape. Our only regret is that we only stayed two nights. It is hard to get to and incredibly worthwhile once you get there.
The staff is most gracious and the restaurant is extraordinary. We hope to return.
