Prison cell :(
We arrived pretty exhausted and were received at the reception by suspicious and strict receptionists. The deposit that has to be left at the reception is unfair.
Unfortunately, the pictures of the hostel did not match our sleeping "cell" of 4 bunk beds. There was no space for anything else than the beds and a trash bin in our room. You could not open the windows to let in a fresh breeze. It seemed like the management expects the worst of people, judging by the suspicousness and penalty warnings literally on every wall.
It was however very clean and conveniently located, with spacious bathrooms and small self-help kitchen on every floor.

Kicked out without a refund!
We booked into the hostel on the 16th July and when we awoke on the 17th we were told that we would not be able to continue our stay at Hostel Ananas. The reason for kicking us out that we were given was due to there being no hot water. At reception we were advised by the receptionist to email the hostelananas@gmail.com with the name on the booking and card details in order to process a refund. We have e-mailed them 10 TIMES! After ringing +420 775 112 580 (operations manager) a number of times we finally got through to a 'manager' who has said that they are unable to handle the volume of e-mails that they are receiving. This, of course, speaks volumes about their level of customer service.
I would highly advise to avoid this hostel at all costs.

Travelled here with friends. Checked in by a very nice receptionist who gave us some nice advise for breakfast and other stuff around the city. Had a good night sleep and the next morning when we were walking out of the hostel, we were kicked out! At that point the excuse were because of no hot water. We were naturally not happy about this, but accepted as we found another hostel nearby fairly easy. So we checked out and expected a refund - but they could not give us that! Not in cash or back to our credit card. Not happy about the idea we went out to enjoy the day and returned a few hours later to get our baggage. Again we tried to get our money, but still no way they could give us our refund. This is now over a week ago and no word from them and even worse still no refund.
Wouldn’t recommend this hostel to anyone!

DO NOT GO HERE
We arrived at this hostel at 9:30 pm as a group of 6 very tired 18 year olds. We were immediately told we can’t stay here for our full stay and have to find our own accommodation and sort it ourselves with no advance warning until we turned up tired from travelling all day. They then asked for a £250 cash only deposit. A REDICULOUS FEE which we were never told about. We then came to our room for the night and began getting into our pyjamas - just as we were doing this a male staff opened our door without knocking and walked in yelling for us to Shutup. We were 9 young girls in here and he had no decency to knock when we were changing, not fully clothed. Do not stay here, they were so rude and disrespectful with absolutely no manners. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Branka
Albergue con una ubicación excelente: céntrico y parada metro Müstek a 2 minutos (ideal también con conexión al aeropuerto).
Limpio y las personas de recepción con un buen trato.
La lástima es que las habitaciones no tienen ventilación (las ventanas no se pueden abrir) y si hay grupos de estudiantes jóvenes, la verdad es que no hay mucha tranquilidad.
Por lo demás todo correcto calidad/precio.
Especial mención a Branka, recepcionista que habla perfectamente inglés, y que nos atendió estupendamente!
Abren dos hostels más en breve: Hostel Mandarine y Hostel Orange. Si vuelvo a Praga escogeré uno de estos dos.
