The room was comfortable and well-appointed with a nice view, and the hotel has a subtle warmth to its decor. The check in staff and concierge were friendly and helpful. The main Italian restaurant is quite good and the breakfast was well done. The bar is trying too hard to be trendy and the service speaks more to arrivistes than guests just looking to enjoy a drink or solo meal—honestly rather disappointing. Overall it would seem the best option in Hobart and quite strong for a small city, though I’m not sure on what list they could claim to be top 50… Aman or Rosewood or a Peninsula it is not.

Rockstar treatment

This hotel has their service standard nailed. On entry, I was warmly welcomed and my bags put aside. Sparkling water while I waited to check in, which was at a desk with a lovely lady who was warm and friendly. I asked about an upgrade fee and she explained the options. She was extremely knowledgeable about the hotel. I upgraded, had a lovely conversation and was then offered a complimentary drink at the bar while my room was checked and bags sent up. I was then escorted to my room as I had not stayed before.
I stayed in a heritage room with a separate office area, and a big spacious bathroom with a tub and separate shower. It was worth every dollar. So glad I upgraded! The fire was on when I walked in, and the room was so inviting.
No expense has been spared with the little touches. The automatic blinds, fire, plush furnishings and comfortable furniture. The bed and pillows were divine. So were the towels. For those who like the quiet rooms, you will have a blissful, undisturbed sleep.
The bath was so incredible to soak in, complete with a wooden board room put your wine... voile! Netflix and chill! The vanity is so spacious for those who want to spread all of their products or makeup out, and the magnification mirror is another of those touches that make life easier.
Room service was well worth it. The pasta dish I ordered was SO good... delicious flavours and hot when delivered. Dessert was equally as tasty!
Breakfast the next morning was relaxed, fresh and the coffee 5 stars- I ordered 2! Almond milk drinkers won't be disappointed!
My farewell from the staff was just as lovely, they offered to get me transport and help with my bags. I will definitely be back. My new favourite in Hobart!

Great customer service, from front desk to maintenance, all personal contact was first class and professional. Stayed in a Deco King room, not huge but great for a 1 night stay. Only negatives were shower pressure ( just a trickle) and road noise. We were on level 5 but facing busy Davey St and the noise woke us at 6am and didn't let up. Probably better on the other side of hotel.
We will stay again.

Amazing hotel!

Amazing hotel, staff were brilliant, breakfast amazing. Great gym, great location. Room was modern, clean and spacious. Excellent laundry service and well priced. Comfortably one of the best hotels we have stayed in anywhere in the world for the price. Highly recommend if you are coming to Hobart!

Excellent, very professional service. Employees were extremely competent and met our every need. Beautiful hotel in a convenient location. Food was consistently high quality. Valet parking seevice was good. I do not have one complaint.
