Nice quiet motel.

Stayed overnight while doing a silo art trip. Nce clean rooms, with the creek behind the motel.
Contactless check in which work okay, but still like to speak to a person. Quite location say walk to main street and pub. Reasonable price highly recommended.

Falsely accused of stealing, money taken pre-emptively and an unprofessional owner.

My father and I stayed here while driving across the Nullarbor from Perth. Our stay at the Burra Inn was marred significantly by the serious accusation of the theft of a pillow after our checkout, with the owner Robert Frischke accusing us over the phone, and having already charged the card without discussion or consent. By luck we were still in Burra and we returned immediately to address the claim, insisting on speaking to him, despite Robert advising he would be busy on calls.
Despite the many, many more plausible explanations - the Burra Inn rooms are unlocked for hours prior to our check in, confirmation of the cleaners of the last clean date a day prior, offers of inspection of our car - "you guys could have taken it out anywhere" - we found Robert to be totally unprofessional, rude and dismissive and that he would refund as needed once he had reviewed the security cameras, at which point we became aware he had already charged the card. He abruptly left the conversation with "bye, talk to the hand".
We followed up with a direct email requesting for the security footage, the cleaning log, and for the refund. To this date we have received no response, apart from a silent refund a few days later.
It’s a pity as we found the location and rooms to be good, but this whole ordeal completely soured our experience and we wanted to share so that other patrons can be on alert.

Top Motel

Stayed 1 night in a big spacious room. Very cosy and warm with a great bed and a nice bathroom with lovely hot shower.
Plenty of room for all our luggage.
Good location as there is no road noise, also it's only a 5 minute walk to the centre of town.
The restaurant was not open so we could not comment on the famous Jumbucks Restaurant cuisine.

Pleasant visit, will come again

Room a bit dated, and contactless entry but the emailed directions and assistance from the staff were excellent. The Jumbucks Restaurant was much better than expectations with excellent service and attention, quality food and wines (regrettably no cocktails), lovely ambiance with candles and diverse decorations. We hope to come again.

Comfortable room, great restaurant

Stayed overnight and had dinner at Jumbucks. The young man attending table was most attentive and very pleasant. Good menu, good meals for both of us. Rooms clean and well presented. Nice view out the back over Burra creek!
